Job Summary
The UABOS (Turkey) Postal Craftsman must have attention to detail, ownership, teamwork, and communication skills to provide excellent customer service and manage sensitive mail matters. The role involves fostering inclusiveness and directly impacts the organization’s logistical success.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Execute all postal functions for efficient mail service.
• Provide customer service regarding mail matters.
• Scan accountable mail upon receipt and before delivery.
• Manage security protocols in the controlled area.
• Maintain the postal directory for accuracy and access.
• Handle all accountable mail properly.
• Follow government procedures, regulations, policies, and directives.
• Perform mail handling tasks including collection, processing, and dispatch.
• Receive and dispatch personal and official mail to designated points.

Basic Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Driver’s License (minimum “C” Class) with at least 6 months remaining.
• Fluent in English.
• Possess a passport book (not card) with at least 12 months validity and 4 blank visa/stamp pages.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of Postal experience, familiar with Military Post Office or civilian equivalent.
• Qualifications matching Postal Specialist (Air Force Specialty Code 3F5X1) or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with computers, phones, copiers/scanners, and administrative tools.
