Job summary

United Aviate Academy is seeking certificated flight instructors to train student pilots under 14 CFR Parts 141 and 61. You will maintain training records, initiate stage checks, and ensure course outcomes align with FAA standards.

You will work with a safety-focused culture, collaborating with leadership and staff while supporting United Airlines policies and the Academy’s Core4 values.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience as a flight instructor.
• 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role.
• Extensive understanding of 14 CFR, FSIMS 8900 and related aviation regulations.
• FAA CFI, CFII, MEI certifications or in United Aviate Pathway.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (aviation or business).

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a certificated flight instructor per FAA approvals and Training Course Outline.
• Maintain student training records and ensure FAA ACS standards are met.
• Initiate stage checks and End-of-Course requests for assigned students.
• Monitor aircraft condition and coordinate with maintenance personnel.
• Report student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Develop curriculum and courseware improvements when appropriate.
• Work full-time with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Position SummaryExciting opportunity for United Aviate Academy Graduates Only!Perform the duties of a certificated flight instructor as authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration in accordance with the approved Training Course Outline. Ensure all students understand and practice all aspects of United Aviate Academy’s Aviation Safety Program.Provides flight, ground, and simulator training for student pilots in accordance with 14 CFR Parts 141 and 61. FAA regulations and publications, and United Aviate Academy’s policies and procedures. Maintains student training records, ensures FAA ACS course standards, and training requirements are met by each student for pilot training.Initiate stage check and End-of-Course requests for assigned students. Responsible for the timely course completion of all flight students assigned including completion of required paperwork.
