Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct flight and ground instruction per FAA Part 141 regulations and curricula
  • Prepare students for FAA knowledge tests, practical tests, and proficiency checks
  • Maintain accurate student training records and documentation
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Ensure aircraft are airworthy prior to each flight via preflight inspections
  • Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to policies and FAA regulations
  • Coordinate training schedules with students and administrative staff
  • Participate in instructor standardization meetings and continuing education
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude with students and staff

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure aircraft are airworthy prior to each flight by conducting thorough preflight inspections.

Minimum Qualifications
  • FAA Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII) certificate Single Engine Land.
  • Current FAA Medical Certificate (as required for flight duties).
  • Current Flight Review.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to aviation safety and customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certificate.
  • Previous flight instruction or Part 141 training experience.
  • Experience with flight training management software.
