Colorado Storm is seeking elite-level tacticians to lead our National Platform teams for the 2026-2027 season. This is a high-performance role for coaches who thrive in the most competitive youth soccer environments in the country. You will be responsible for developing our top-tier athletes from U11 to U19, preparing them for the national stage and the next stage of their playing careers.
At the National Platform level, you are the architect of the Storm competitive standard. We seek coaches who command the pitch with confidence and possess the technical depth to navigate the highest levels of the game. Your mission is to foster a professional, player-centered environment that balances the pursuit of excellence with the Colorado Storm belief that every elite athlete deserves a culture of growth and belonging.
Advanced Professional Credentials: USSF "B" License or higher is strongly preferred (International equivalents or Professional/Collegiate playing experience considered).
Proven National Track Record: Extensive experience coaching within National Platforms (ECNL, MLS Next, GA) with a history of successful player placement.
Tactical Sophistication: Ability to conduct deep-dive video analysis and provide data-driven feedback to optimize team performance.
Collaborative Leadership: While leading an elite squad, you must remain a "One Club" proponent, working with regional directors to ensure a seamless talent pipeline.
Relentless Learner: A commitment to staying at the forefront of modern soccer trends, sports science, and coaching psychology.
Master of Methodology: Implement the Storm National Platform Game Model with absolute precision. You will translate complex tactical systems into actionable intelligence for high-performing athletes.
Collegiate & Pro Pathway Architect: Actively guide players through the recruitment landscape. You will provide objective, high-level evaluations and leverage your network to create opportunities for players across all regions of Colorado.
Effective Communicator: Take initiative in keeping parents and stakeholders informed about schedule changes or team news. You must adhere to Colorado Storm communication policies, responding to all emails or calls within 24–48 hours.
Psychological Performance Lead: Beyond the physical game, you will develop the mental resilience and "Growth Mindset" required to compete at the national level. You must inspire confidence while holding players to an elite standard of accountability.
Resourceful Problem Solver: Prioritize player needs over short-term results. You will use an inquiry-based coaching style to encourage player creativity and resilience, even when it leads to mistakes on the path to mastery.
Administrative Diligence: Complete all required player evaluations, attendance tracking, and injury reports promptly. Keeping accurate records is vital to maintaining the upward momentum of our players across all regions of Colorado.
