Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a CDL Driver to join its organization. This position is located in Linthicum, MD.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Pick up materials and deliver them to the intended destination in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring materials arrive safely and intact. Verify the count of materials picked up and note any discrepancies or damages.
2. Operate various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, J bars, etc., for loading, transporting, and unloading materials.
3. Operate company vehicles, including forklifts and over-the-road trucks, to deliver materials, supplies, and products.
4. Ensure the safe operation of vehicles, complete pre-trip inspections, and maintain logs of mileage, stops, and vehicle condition.
5. Coordinate with dispatch and management regarding routes, stops, and any issues encountered during deliveries.
6. Load and unload trucks, ensuring loads are properly secured with straps, bracing, and other safety equipment.
7. Verify and record the quantity, size, weight, and condition of materials at pickup and delivery points, reporting discrepancies.
8. Maintain inventory of tools and safety equipment, ensuring all logs and records are up to date as per legal requirements.
9. Drive professionally, obey traffic laws, and keep the vehicle clean and in good condition.
10. Maintain required certifications, including HAZMAT endorsements if applicable, and obtain/maintain a US Secret clearance.

This is an IUE Union-represented, first-shift position requiring a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid CDL A license, and prior experience with commercial vehicle operation. The application period is approximately 20 days from the posting date, subject to change based on business needs.
