Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Sensors and Systems Technician to perform testing, operating, troubleshooting, calibrating, constructing, repairing, and assembly across a broad range of technologies. The role involves collecting, recording, analyzing and evaluating data, and recommending process or equipment changes.

The position requires a Secret security clearance and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two-year electronic tech education or military electronics plus two years maintenance/repair experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics principles.
  • Skilled in fabrication and testing of complex components and assemblies.
  • Able to adapt to changing assignments and meet solder certification (Solder 09).
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving testing, operating, troubleshooting, calibrating, constructing, repairing, and assembly of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems.
  • Collect, record, analyze and evaluate data to recommend changes in processing operations and equipment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of a two‑year full‑time electronic technology school or six months of military electronics school plus two years working in maintenance and repair of electro‑mechanical equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of electronics principles.
  • High degree of skill in fabrication and test of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems.
  • Capability to adapt readily to changing assignments and requirements.
  • Capability to meet 09 solder certification and successfully pass pre‑employment skills screening.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
