Overview

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking Sensors and Systems Technicians to join its Manufacturing Organization located in Linthicum, Maryland. The role involves testing, operating, troubleshooting, calibrating, constructing, repairing, and assembling a broad spectrum of technologies, and includes collecting, recording, analyzing, and evaluating data to recommend changes in processing operations and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of simple to complex tasks involving testing, operating, troubleshooting, calibrating, constructing, repairing and assembling.
  • Utilize manual and automatic equipment and create repair and assembly techniques and procedures.
  • Collect, record, analyze and evaluate data and recommend changes in processing operations and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of electronics principles.
  • High degree of skill in fabrication and testing of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems.
  • Capable of readily adapting to changing assignments and requirements.
  • Capable of meeting 09 solder certification and successfully passing pre-employment skills screening.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a required Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Graduate of a two-year, full-time electronic technology school OR six months military electronics school plus two years working in the maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical equipment.
Experience Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of electronics principles.
  • High degree of skill in fabrication and testing of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems.
  • Capable of readily adapting to changing assignments and requirements.
  • Capable of meeting 09 solder certification and successfully passing pre-employment skills screening.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
