Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Appliances in Costa Mesa, CA seeks a Customs Compliance Manager to lead U.S. trade compliance across import and export activities, ensuring regulatory readiness and cost visibility throughout the product lifecycle.

You will interpret regulations, govern compliance programs, manage broker relationships, and work cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Planning, Logistics, and IT to support growth while maintaining strong governance and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in trade compliance, customs compliance, or international trade roles.
• Expertise in HTS classification, country of origin determinations, valuation, and tariff management.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations, including Section 232, Section 301, Free Trade Agreements, and CBP requirements.
• Trade management including classification, tariff interpretation, broker management, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working with customs brokers, regulatory agencies, and trade consultants.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; Power BI experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), CCS, or equivalent trade compliance certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own HTS classifications, origin determinations, and FTA eligibility across products.
• Interpret and apply tariff regulations, including Section 232, Section 301, and CBP requirements.
• Lead responses to audits, inquiries, and disclosures; maintain audit-ready docs.
• Manage customs broker relationships and governance; define KPIs for performance.
• Review entry accuracy and resolve classification, valuation, and documentation issues.
• Drive data governance and continuous improvement for trade data and systems.
