Job summary

Zoic Studios is seeking an experienced Character Animator for a short-term remote project. You will work closely with our Animation Director and Animation Supervisor to craft compelling performances for live-action film and television productions.

Ideal candidates are located in the United States and possess strong Maya skills, experience with motion capture in Maya, and a track record of delivering high-quality animation within a fast-paced production schedule.

Qualifications

• Professional experience as a 3D animator in film/TV VFX.
• Reel of most current work with breakdown of responsibilities/specific contributions.
• Strong proficiency animating in Maya from reference, with the ability to own shots through to final.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, weight, and physical movement — essential for believable work.
• Hands-on experience working with motion capture data in Maya.
• Ability to thrive in a fast production environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive attitude.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through.

Responsibilities

Additional Information

• Candidates will need to be located in the United States ideally
• This is a remote (work-from-home position)
• Pay Range: 55/hr – 65/hr DOE(The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position)
