Job summary

Empower Retirement, LLC seeks an Analyst to perform U.S. market and economic analysis within the Strategist Office. This hybrid role favors proximity to Chicago, IL, or Greenwood Village, CO, and contributes to market outlooks for media, clients, and the public.

You will cover sector and macroeconomic research, support SMA management, and develop research content for diverse audiences, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience in investment research, economic research, equity research, market strategy, asset management, or related field.
• CFA designation strongly preferred; or progress towards completing CFA (Level I or II).
• Proficiency with Bloomberg (BBG).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Ability to develop compelling data visualizations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated persistence, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing research coverage of U.S. sectors and industries, with emphasis on valuations and scenario analysis of company and industry fundamentals.
• Conduct macroeconomic and financial market research and contribute to quarterly and annual Economic and Market Outlooks.
• Support management of a separately managed account (SMA) by providing research, analysis, and insights related to portfolio positioning and performance.
• Conduct ad hoc economic, market, sector, and industry research in support of media, conferences, and client needs.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop research-driven content for internal and external audiences.
