Job summary

Empower Retirement is seeking an Analyst to lead U.S. market and economic analysis within the Strategist Office, based near Chicago or Greenwood Village, CO, in a hybrid work arrangement.

The role conducts sector, macroeconomic, and financial market research; supports SMA activities; and develops content for internal and external audiences, collaborating with Marketing to share insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; finance/economics/business preferred.
• 5 years of relevant investment/economic research experience.
• CFA designation strongly preferred or progress toward CFA (Level I or II).
• Proficiency with Bloomberg (BBG).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Ability to develop compelling data visualizations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated persistence, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing research coverage of U.S. sectors and industries with valuations and scenario analysis.
• Conduct macroeconomic and financial market research and contribute to quarterly and annual Economic and Market Outlooks.
• Support the management of a separately managed account (SMA) by providing research, analysis, and insights related to portfolio positioning and performance.
• Conduct ad hoc economic, market, sector, and industry research in support of media, conferences, and client needs.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop research-driven content for internal and external audiences.
