New England College seeks experienced adjunct faculty to teach Typography II, Functionality. You will guide students through advanced type setting, typography structure and visual hierarchy, building on Typography I foundations.

Responsibilities include conducting discussions, projects and critiques in a digitally oriented classroom, using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Mac OS to develop professional design skills.

Qualifications

• This is a digitally-oriented class.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and the Mac operating system is required.
• Preferred candidates would also have professional design experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and upper level Graphic Design courses.
• Lead class discussions, projects and critiques focused on typography and the relationship between type and image.
• Cover advanced techniques for setting type, including text type, typographic structure and hierarchy.
