Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Graphic Arts courses that prepare students for careers in print production.

The role emphasizes press operations, production workflow, and prepress, with hands‑on instruction in Heidelberg and Indigo press environments. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in graphic arts and at least five years of industry experience, plus a passion for teaching in a community college setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic arts field is required.
• Minimum five years' experience in Graphic Arts with production expertise.
• Must be an effective, enthusiastic teacher for community college students.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses to prepare students for careers in Graphic Arts Design and Technology, focusing on press operations and production.
• Instruct Graphic Arts students in Heidelberg Press Operation, Indigo Press Operation, Color Theory, Color Management, and Prepress.
• Knowledge of Preflight, RIP, Digital FrontEnd, and Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) including AI; wrap up with prepress and press workflow experience.
