Job summary

MasterFix Solutions in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Typesetter to prepare layouts for our publishing projects. You will receive material from editors, choose fonts, sizes, and spacing, and format text to fit designated spaces.

You will insert images, ensure consistency of font styles, proofread layouts, and communicate with editors and designers to clarify changes. This hands-on role emphasizes typography and attention to detail.

• Proven experience as a typesetter or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using typesetting software (e.g. Adobe InDesign)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of typography principles and design elements
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members
