Job summary

Typesetter

We are seeking an experienced Typesetter to join our publishing team in Los Angeles. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images for print and digital publications. This is a contract position with a salary of $1300 per month.

Responsibilities

• Format and arrange text and images according to specific design guidelines
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and designers to ensure accurate and consistent layout
• Proofread material for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
• Utilize software programs such as Adobe InDesign to create layouts
• Ensure that all text and images are properly aligned and visually appealing
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Typesetter or in a similar role
• Proficient in Adobe InDesign and other publishing software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors
• Excellent time management skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred
