Job summary

Gallup is seeking a software engineer for its E-commerce team in San Francisco. You will ship TypeScript features across the catalog, checkout, subscriptions, gifting and enrollment, while developing full-stack capabilities and designing internal APIs that empower other teams to build compelling commerce experiences.

You will build integrations with payments, identity and catalog systems, modernize the platform, and strive for clean, well-tested code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building and shipping production applications through professional work or substantial personal or open-source projects.
• Working knowledge of APIs and what makes them intuitive, reliable and maintainable.
• Experience engineering features for e-commerce or adjacent industries preferred.
• Experience with containers, CI/CD pipelines and modern developer tooling preferred.
• A commitment to working on-site at Gallup's San Francisco office at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Ship features primarily in TypeScript across Gallup's e-commerce platform, including catalog, checkout, subscriptions, gifting and enrollment
• Develop full-stack features spanning front-end and back-end services
• Help design and implement internal APIs that enable teams across Gallup to deliver commerce experiences
• Build and maintain integrations connecting commerce with payments, catalog, identity and other business systems
• Modernize and continuously improve Gallup's e-commerce platform through thoughtful engineering
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code while improving developer tools, CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows
• Partner with senior engineers to solve complex technical challenges while growing your own engineering expertise
