Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Four years of teaching experience, including work with students with emotional disabilities and test administration/interpretation.
• Advanced Professional Licensure by the Maryland State Department of Education is required.
• TCI, CPR/First Aid, CARE trainings within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the Type III Diagnostic Program in alignment with MSDE requirements.
• Serves as Education Director of record for the program and maintains documentation and reporting.
• Supervises and supports program staff to ensure effective instruction and timely responsibilities.
• Conducts informal educational testing to identify student needs and develops PEPs.
• Performs formal educational evaluations and provides recommendations for planning and placement.
• Develops remediation plans in Language Arts/Math to address skill gaps.
• Maintains accurate education records and program materials.
• Prepares required records and coordinates transitions with partners.
• Participates in meetings and monitors resources to support operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
