Job summary

Tyler Coupling in Marshfield, MO, a McWane LLC. division, is hiring a Staff Accountant to support plant accounting and assist the Plant Controller.

This role works with accounts payable, purchasing, and the D365 implementation team to improve processes and internal controls. The ideal candidate has a accounting or finance background with GAAP knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance, or 10+ years of proven experience in lieu of degree.
• 3-5 years accounting or business-related experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Understanding of Financial Statements, Journal Entries, and GAAP.
• Flexible and willing to work extended hours during month-end, budgeting, audits, and peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash accounts, and oversee the monthly account reconciliation process through completion.
• Partner with accounts payable, purchasing, and the corporate D365 implementation support team to test and implement D365 enhancements, including invoice approvals, payment workflows, vendor onboarding, and exception reporting to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Assist the Controller with month-end close activities and financial reporting processes.
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit requests.
• Prepare, maintain, and update departmental procedures and standard work documentation for Controller review and approval.
• Process and review accounts payable transactions as backup support to ensure continuity of operations.
• Investigate questionable data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions to resolve issues and improve data accuracy.
• Assist with quarterly and annual Sales and Use Tax reporting requirements.
• Assist with the annual preparation, filing, and distribution of 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC forms.
• Ensure compliance with established accounting standards, company policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Tyler Coupling, a division of McWane LLC., is seeking a Staff Accountant to work at the Marshfield, MO location. The Staff Accountant will assist in the accounting functions of the plant as well as assist the Plant Controller.
