Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a board-certified pathologist for a hospital-based locum tenens assignment in Texas. Work is 8:00 am–5:00 pm with no nights or weekends. You will handle general surgical pathology including breast, GU, and basic head and neck cases, with hematopathology and skin sent to a reference lab.

Caseload is ~7,500 surgical and 500 cytology cases annually across 3 FTE. Travel and housing are pre-paid; malpractice is covered.

Qualifications

• Board-certified pathologist with surgical pathology expertise.
• Experience in general surgical pathology including breast, GU, and head and neck.
• No grossing or autopsies required.

Responsibilities

• Cover general surgical pathology cases including breast, GU, and head and neck.
• No grossing or autopsies performed on assignments.
• Hematopathology and skin specimens referred to reference labs.
