Job Description

Summary/Objective: The Journeyman Electrician position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial facilities in accordance with safety standards and maintenance systems. We provide a company vehicle, fuel, and a phone. Benefits include paid vacations, sick days, holidays, and insurance options.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Diagnose system malfunctions and correct issues.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers and transformers.
• Work on residential and commercial new installs and remodels.
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards and code compliance.
• Test electrical circuits and systems.
• Complete final connections and document work with photos and detailed reports.
• Use a company phone, apps, email, and communicate effectively.

Essential Functions

• Perform diversified duties to install and maintain facilities.
• Provide emergency and scheduled repairs.
• Perform service repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair problems, test, and adjust systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance.
• Use various tools and report faulty operations.
• Maintain safety standards and clean work areas.
• Document work with photos and reports, check in/out on systems, and submit vehicle condition reports.
• Maintain insurability and good attendance.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Work includes office, warehouse, outdoor, and shop environments, with exposure to dust, odors, fumes, and noise.

Physical Demands

Requires active movement, lifting items over 75 pounds, and good vision. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb.

Position Type/Hours

Full-time, with hours dependent on service schedule, including on-call rotations and overtime.

Travel

Travel is expected, with a company vehicle and fuel card provided.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Electrical Journeyman License
• High school diploma/GED and apprenticeship or equivalent experience

Preferred

• 2+ years of electrical journeyman experience

Additional Qualifications

• Strong background in at least two skills: electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, locks
• Own hand tools, pass drug and background checks
