Teach For America is a national nonprofit offering a full-time, paid two-year teaching opportunity for college seniors, graduate students, and early-career professionals who want high-stakes work and real responsibility. Corps members teach full-time in under-resourced public schools and gain a ground-level understanding of how housing, healthcare, and mobility shape learning.

Qualifications

• 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree (in any field of study).
• Must be a citizen, national, or legal resident of the United States, EAD holder, or have DACA status.
• No background in education or teaching certification required—candidates from all majors and experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach two years full-time in an under-resourced public school.
• Build genuine relationships with students and families — not just lesson plans.
• Learn to navigate the barriers kids face inside and outside the classroom.
• Sharpen your communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills through daily classroom leadership.
• Work alongside your school community to remove obstacles and open doors for students who need it most.
