Job summary

Hultec is seeking a Production Supervisor to own day-to-day performance across two shifts for rubber compression molding, extrusion, and Sphere operations. You will drive on-time, first-pass quality production while building a capable workforce and maintaining Hultec quality standards.

Responsibilities include planning production, improving OEE, reducing scrap, and leading shift teams. A strong emphasis on safety, training, and continuous improvement is required to meet company goals.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years manufacturing experience with 2+ years in supervising a multi-shift team.
• Hands-on rubber compression molding and/or extrusion experience.
• Solid knowledge of OEE, scrap tracking, and root-cause problem solving.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MES systems; able to coach and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct daily production across rubber compression presses, extrusion lines, and Sphere to meet schedule and delivery commitments.
• Monitor and improve OEE, labor efficiency, and line utilization; lead corrective actions when targets are missed.
• Reduce changeover times through standard work, setup reduction, and process optimization.
• Partner with Maintenance to minimize downtime and support preventive maintenance.
• Manage labor allocation, overtime, and shift coverage to balance cost and output.
• Own scrap reduction by area and part number; track and report weekly.
• Lead root-cause analysis on top scrap drivers and verify corrective actions.
• Provide leadership to two Shift Leads and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Build cross-training coverage and develop future lead-level talent.
• Ensure safety compliance, 5S, and proper PPE usage on the floor.
