Rubbercraft in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a Production Lead - Extrusion to oversee daily extrusion production activities. You will coordinate schedules, support staff, and drive safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, problem-solving, and knowledge of lean manufacturing. Collaboration with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Planning is essential to meet customer demands and improve processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years in manufacturing or production.
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in elastomeric extrusion manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
• Provide hands-on guidance to production employees and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Monitor schedules, staffing, and equipment capacity to meet orders on time.
• Partner with Planning and Operations to prioritize orders and support delivery commitments.
• Apply lean principles to optimize processes and reduce waste.
• Ensure safety and OSHA/EHS compliance.
