Job summary

YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is seeking a Two's Program Lead Teacher for the Bardmoor YMCA Preschool Academy in Largo, FL. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality early education for toddlers within a nurturing YMCA environment.

Requirements include being at least 18, a high school diploma or equivalent, a CDA or related degree, completion of DCF Part 1 & 2, and 6 months to 1 year of preschool teaching experience. Lifting up to 40lbs and active engagement are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA credential or a related college degree.
• Completion of DCF Introductory Child Care Training (Parts 1 & 2).
• 6 months to 1 year of preschool teaching experience.
• Able to lift up to 40lbs and actively engage with children indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and early education aligned with YMCA values.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities (arts & crafts, music, storytelling, outdoor play).
• Support positive behavior and social-emotional growth.
• Supervise meals, free play, and playground time.
• Build positive relationships with families and conduct parent-teacher conferences.
• Maintain classroom and program records.
• Participate in staff meetings and family engagement events.
