Job summary

The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is seeking a Three's Program Lead Teacher at the Lealman Preschool Academy.

This full-time position focuses on nurturing toddlers, delivering developmentally appropriate activities, and upholding YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring. You will plan and lead arts, music, storytelling, and outdoor play, supervise routines, and foster strong relationships with families through conferences while maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA credential or related college degree.
• Completion of DCF Introductory Child Care Training (Parts 1 & 2).
• 6 months to 1 year of preschool teaching experience.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and engage with children indoors and outdoors.
• Pass a 10-panel drug screen and background check.

• Maintain accurate classroom and program records
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and family engagement events

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CDA credential or a related college degree
• Completion of DCF Introductory Child Care Training (Parts 1 & 2)
• 6 months to 1 year of preschool teaching experience
• Able to lift up to 40lbs and actively engage with children both indoors and outdoors

• Clear a Level 2 background check*
