Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes. You will provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, creating a structured, family-like environment to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse role: married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to be certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
