Job summary

Mohawk Industries in Dalton, GA is seeking a production associate to set up, operate, and tend to machines that twist yarn into usable packages. You will load yarn, monitor equipment, and ensure safety and quality during production. The role requires basic math, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on-the-job training.
• Successful completion of required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to many machines organized into a frame that twist yarn together.
• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Primary Objective:
