Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Chatsworth, GA seeks a Twister Operator B on first shift to load yarn, monitor equipment and ensure safe operation. Expect responsibilities including loading yarn, handling buggies, and performing quality checks.

You will perform routine maintenance, assist with on-the-job training, and follow all safety procedures while contributing to efficient production. Previous yarn/manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Primary Objective

Major Function and Scope
