Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. seeks a Twister Operator for the B/D Shift in Rome, GA. The role involves setting up and tending multiple yarn-twisting machines, loading yarn, and ensuring safe, efficient production.

You will monitor outputs, perform quality checks, and participate in on-the-job training. Responsibilities include threading yarn, operating spindles, repairing breaks, feeding dyers, and maintaining housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Successful completion of all required on the job training
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to many machines organized into a frame that twist yarn together
• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
