Job summary

First International Bank and Trust seeks an experienced Commercial Loan Officer to join our Edina team. You will build relationships with businesses, assess credit, structure loans, and manage documentation to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities include developing a robust local lending pipeline, staying current with market trends, and delivering tailored financial solutions to clients in the Twin Cities area. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field required.
• 3+ years of commercial lending experience or equivalent.
• Proven track record in business development and loan origination.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assess creditworthiness and authorize loan approvals by reviewing financial statements and documentation.
• Analyze title reports, surveys, and collateral to identify and mitigate risk.
• Structure and negotiate loan terms beneficial to customer and FIBT.
• Clearly communicate loan conditions, terms and obligations to customers.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and recommend actions for resolution.
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients with customized financial solutions.
• Prepare and manage accurate loan documentation to ensure compliance.
• Stay informed on lending market trends and covenant structures.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of commercial lending opportunities in the Twin Cities area.
