Job summary

El Dorado County Office of Education is seeking a collaborative Teacher for Students with Vision Impairments (TVI) to join our itinerant team. This role delivers direct and indirect services to students with visual impairments across ages 0-22.

The position emphasizes collaboration with school teams and county programs to meet educational and socio-emotional needs. A Bachelor’s degree with VI-related credential is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• One year experience in related teaching assignment; work with students with visual impairments preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree and valid teaching credential for appropriate level of instruction and specialty area of special education.
• VI credential or eligibility for appropriate credentials/permits upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect services to children and students ages 0-22 with specialized vision services.
• Work with school-based teams and county regional programs to address educational, communication, functional and social/emotional needs of students with visual impairments.
