Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the 2026–2027 school year in Jonesville, KY. This full-time, on-site role offers guaranteed hours, supportive administration, and a manageable caseload.

You will provide direct and consultative TVI services, develop IEP goals, conduct vision assessments, and support ECC and assistive technology integration. Collaboration with families and school staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education, Visual Impairments, Education, or related field.
• Active or eligible Kentucky educator certification/endorsement for Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments.
• Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, accessible materials, and ECC.
• Experience with students who are blind or visually impaired.
• Knowledge of IEPs, evaluations, eligibility, and special education services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative TVI services.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and specialized instruction.
• Conduct functional vision and learning media assessments.
• Support ECC-related skills and independence in students.
• Provide Braille and tactile learning instruction when appropriate.
• Adapt instructional materials and recommend accommodations.
• Support assistive technology and accessible materials.
• Monitor progress and complete required documentation.
• Participate in evaluations, IEPs, eligibility, and MDT meetings.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and specialists.
