Description

The Galin Education fellowship program provides high-achieving recent college graduates with an opportunity to work closely with high school students and their families throughout the college admissions process. Fellows commit to one or two years with the organization, offering tutoring, coaching, and mentoring primarily in one-on-one settings.

Fellows spend roughly half of their day working directly with students, helping them learn content and strategies for standardized admissions exams (ACT/SAT), tutoring them in math, science, or foreign languages, and supporting them in developing executive functioning and study skills. The remaining time is spent with Directors to learn other aspects of the organization, such as curriculum research, marketing and engagement, resource development, and community partnership building.

Fellows may be part-time or full-time (20-40 hours per week) and are expected to work a schedule that includes evenings and weekends. This flexibility allows fellows to take morning courses, complete graduate school applications, and or maintain other part-time jobs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a selective college or university.
• Score at or above the 95th percentile on either the ACT (roughly composite of 31 or higher) or SAT (roughly 1400/2100 or higher).
• Previous experience in informal or formal education as a tutor, camp counselor, teacher, Sunday school teacher, or similar role.
• Ability to commit to the entire 2026-27 school year.
