Responsibilities
  • Tutors students at all levels of assigned academic discipline.
  • Conducts orientations to the assigned area.
  • Assists staff in assigned area with various tasks.
  • Attends mandatory tutor training seminars and other meetings when scheduled.
  • Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.

  • Demonstrated academic proficiency within the discipline.
Knowledge
  • Personal and professional commitment to creating an atmosphere of quality instruction.

  • Understanding of and commitment to working with a diverse student population in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Work Environment and Special Considerations

  • Flexible hours; days and assigned campus location may vary due to enrollment.

This position is eligible for Veteran’s Preference.

Pay Benefits And Work Schedule

$14.00 hourly up to 26 hours per week. This is a temporary part-time pool position.
