Job summary

If you have experience as a tutor, coach, teacher, youth leader, or similar, we want to talk to you. Roles are part-time, in-person, with flexible scheduling and a focus on student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Fingerprinting within 48 hours of offer.
• DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements.
• Provide three professional references.
• Minimum sixty college credits.
• At least one year of student-related experience.
• Detail-oriented and highly dependable.
• Effective communicator.
• Reliable transportation.
• Negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of hire.
• Love learning, teaching, and empowering others to soar.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted instruction in math to support middle school aged students.
• Provide small-group tutoring using provided curriculum, evidence-based strategies, and educational technology.
• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles, academic needs, and developmental levels.
• Prepare lesson plans for sessions during designated preparation time.

Location:

• Los Angeles Unified School District Schools, 2026 to 2027 school year
• Needed Areas:
  • Los Angeles, CA 90002

Schedule:

• TBD
• Anticipate schedule is Mon/Wed/Thurs 2:30PM-4:15PM

Hours:

• Part-time, in-person
• 6-10 hours per week

Pay:

• $23 per hour standard
• $24 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)
• $25 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor

In this role, you will:

• In this role you will need to be able to meet DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements for this position

• You are an effective communicator
• You have reliable transportation
• You can provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired
