Job summary

StudentNest is seeking an in-person tutor to deliver math instruction to middle school students. You will work in East Los Angeles, Tue–Thu 2:30–7:30pm, providing small-group tutoring and using the provided curriculum and edtech tools.

Applicants should have 60+ college units, at least one year of student-related experience, and be able to obtain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance. This role requires reliability and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Hours:

• Tues-Thurs 2:30-7:30pm
• In-person, substitute tutor

Pay:

• $22.00-$24.00, dependent on experience, department worked and other factors

In this role, you will:

• Deliver targeted instruction in math to support middle school aged students.
• Provide small-group tutoring using provided curriculum, evidence-based strategies, and educational technology.
• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles, academic needs, and developmental levels. Prepare lesson plans for sessions during designated preparation time.
