Job summary

FabMax is seeking an experienced Turret Punch Press Operator to join our Wood Dale production team. You will set up and operate Amada turret punch press equipment, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet customer specifications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with machine setup, tooling, blueprint reading, dimensional inspection, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong teamwork and dependable attendance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience operating turret punch press machines; Amada experience strongly preferred.
• Experience performing machine setups independently.
• Strong blueprint-reading skills.
• Experience using measuring and inspection tools.
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently once trained.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and run Amada turret punch press machines, including the AE 2510NT and EMK 3612.
• Perform complete machine setups, including tooling, machine adjustments, and material loading.
• Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, work orders, and production specifications.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy and part quality.
• Inspect completed parts using appropriate measuring tools to verify specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine, tooling, setup, and production issues.
• Monitor production to maintain quality and productivity expectations.
• Follow established safety and quality procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, leads, Quality, and other production team members.
