Job summary

Barrick Gold Corporation in Nevada seeks an ore processing metallurgist to support refractory gold treatment, milling, acidulation, pressure oxidation, CIL and stripping. You will contribute to process design and optimization within the Turquoise Ridge Process area.

You will develop project scopes, perform metallurgical test work, and collaborate with teams to optimize mass and water balances, equipment selection, and process control for improved recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years in mineral processing plants, preferably gold hydrometallurgy.
• Experience in project planning and execution.
• Strong collaborative and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop business cases for new projects.
• Coordinate and schedule project stages using MOC and stakeholder involvement.
• Evaluate ideas and implement equipment to improve safety, production, costs, and recovery.
• Support process troubleshooting with Plant Metallurgists.
• Prepare technical reports for management and stakeholders.
