Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a turnover and commissioning specialist to join the Startup, Turnover, and Commissioning Services group. You will plan and execute startup and functional testing, develop turnover documentation, and coordinate with construction and operations to ensure safe, orderly turnover of facilities.

You will own assigned systems, act as test director in the field, and mentor teammates while expanding expertise across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.

Qualifications

• Commissioning & startup fundamentals, including pre-functional verification and functional testing.
• Mechanical, electrical, and controls breadth; interpret drawings and evaluate operability.
• Turnover packages: develop, compile, track open items to closure with teams.
• Coordinate work across engineering, construction, vendors, and operations.
• Documentation: write commissioning plans, procedures, checklists, and test reports.
• Safety leadership: integrate safety into field test activities.
• Certifications: training provided; commissioning certs valued but not required.
• DOE clearance capability: U.S. citizenship generally required.
