Discover International seeks an experienced Nuclear Startup & Commissioning Engineer to support plant system transitions from construction to testing and turnover. You will work with engineering, construction, maintenance and operations teams to ensure systems meet design requirements and are ready for safe operation.

The role emphasizes development and execution of commissioning tests, system walkdowns and coordination across multiple groups.

Formación

• 5+ years of nuclear operations, commissioning, startup, system testing or naval nuclear propulsion experience.
• Hands-on experience operating, testing or troubleshooting complex plant systems.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical diagrams, system descriptions and technical procedures.
• Experience working within controlled procedures and a strong nuclear safety culture.
• Strong technical communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work at project sites and support shifts or extended hours during startup activities.
• Engineering or technical degree, or equivalent directly relevant operational experience.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, review and execute commissioning and startup test procedures.
• Verify test prerequisites, equipment status, system boundaries and acceptance criteria.
• Perform system walkdowns and support construction-to-operations turnover.
• Monitor equipment performance during testing and investigate unexpected results.
• Coordinate troubleshooting across engineering, maintenance, operations and vendors.
• Document deficiencies, corrective actions, retesting and test completion.
• Support operating procedure development and operational readiness reviews.
• Maintain configuration control and follow established work-control and equipment-isolation procedures.
• Participate in pre-job briefings, shift turnovers and test-readiness meetings.
