Job summary

Turner Industries Group, LLC in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a Turnaround Scheduler (P6) to join our Project Controls Team at a jobsite in Baton Rouge or nearby. This role focuses on developing and maintaining integrated schedules for maintenance, turnarounds, and small capital projects.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years with Primavera P6 on industrial projects, plus proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Google, and SAP. Strong safety mindset and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software on industrial maintenance, construction, outages, or turnarounds.
• Two (2) years of jobsite mechanical craft experience or BS degree in construction management or related curriculum.
• NCCER certification, craft journeyman, or foreman in industrial construction or maintenance turnaround is an additional benefit.
• Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Preferred experience with Turner applications WinTake®, QuickPlan®, and Win PCS®.
• Knowledge of project controls cycles and supporting applications.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental excellence.
• Ability to read and write proficiently in English.
• Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a resource-loaded schedule using Finish-to-Start relationships and WBS with milestones.
• Apply CPM to monitor progress and schedule deliverables; prepare histograms and reports for management.
• Collaborate with client on naming conventions, WBS, formats and activity codes.
• Coordinate with planners to optimize construction paths for maintenance to turnover; embed AWP processes.
• Monitor EWP, PWP, and IWP performance as required; validate progress with field supervision.
• Suggest alternatives and recovery actions when appropriate.
