Job summary

LILT is building a global translation pool and seeking linguists to work remotely on diverse projects across Life Sciences, IT, Marketing, Legal, and Finance. As an independent contractor, you’ll translate and edit content between English and your native language, ensuring cultural nuance and accuracy.

You will follow terminology, reference materials, and best practices, collaborating with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for various markets.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in the target language(s).
• Graduate qualification in translation/linguistics or language studies, OR a graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
• The ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely.

Responsibilities

• Translate content between English and your native language while preserving cultural nuance and clarity.
• Edit and refine language content for accuracy, tone, and contextual relevance across digital platforms.
• Apply current language standards, usage trends, and best practices to all deliverables.
• Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve language model quality.
• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for your language-speaking markets.
• Support content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.
