Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Weed Scientist to design and support a diverse lawn and landscape product portfolio for homeowners. You will define products and practices, conduct field and greenhouse research, and translate findings into consumer communications.

The role requires a Ph.D. in Weed Science or related field, strong experimental design and statistical analysis skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Weed Science preferred or related field (agronomy, soil science) required.
• Experience in related turf/academic research or extension program.
• Ability to design and lead research programs and analyze biological data.

Responsibilities

• Leads, plans and implements field and greenhouse biological research with trial setup and data analysis.
• Collaborates with R&D, marketing, regulatory, sourcing and manufacturing to meet project goals.
• Mentors and develops other team members and communicates concepts to senior leadership.
