Job summary

Augusta Country Club Incorporated in Augusta, GA seeks a team member to assist with daily golf course maintenance, including greens, tees, fairways and surrounding areas.

You will perform mowing, seeding, sodding, aerating, topdressing, irrigation repair, spraying, fertilizing, bunker maintenance and related tasks, and you may train newer staff.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and safe operation of maintenance equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in golf course maintenance or turfgrass care.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and surrounding areas.
• Mow, seed, sod, aerate, topdress, irrigation repair and related tasks.
• Spray, fertilize and perform bunker maintenance as needed.
• Could train new employees on proper equipment use.

Job description

PURPOSE OF JOB:The purpose of this position is to expose the employee to the daily facets of golf course maintenance. This position will challenge them to the day-to-day challenges of managing turf grass in the transition region of the united states.GENERAL DUTIES:This person shall perform maintenance tasks relative to the care, maintenance, protection and preservation of any area of the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and surrounding out of play areas. These maintenance tasks include mowing, seeding, sodding, aerating, topdressing, irritation repair, mechanics, hand-watering, Bermuda grass greens management, spraying, fertilizing, bunker maintenance, and other related job tasks.PRE-REQUISITES:This person must be able to operate equipment safely and understand the intended use of that equipment. He/she must be in good physical condition and be willing to work outside in inclement weather. They are expected to train new employees on the proper use of mowing equipment that work on a seasonal basis. Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.
