Job summary

The Augusta Country Club in Augusta, GA is seeking a full-time golf course maintenance worker to care for greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and surrounding areas. Tasks include mowing, seeding, sodding, aerating, topdressing, irrigation repair, hand-watering, spraying and fertilizing.

Shifts are day work: Mon 6am-4pm, Tue-Fri 6am-12pm, and every other weekend 6am-10am. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k and PTO. Pay ranges from $16 to $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Operate equipment safely and understand proper usage.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and related areas.
• Mow, seed, sod, aerate, topdress, irrigate repairs and fertilize.
• Propose mowing efficiency improvements.

Position Type: Full Time

Job Shift: Day

This position shall perform maintenance tasks relative to the care, maintenance, protection and preservation of any area of the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and surrounding out of play areas. These maintenance tasks include mowing, seeding, sodding, aerating, topdressing, irrigation repair, hand-watering, spraying, fertilizing, bunker maintenance, and other related job tasks. Recommendations for improving mowing efficiency and mowing patterns are welcome.

They are encouraged to play the golf course on Mondays (course closed) and other times on special occasions to experience the same playability that a member would experience.

Schedule

• M: 6am-4pm


• T-F: 6am-12pm


• Every other weekend: 6am-10am
