Job summary

The St. Joe Company is seeking a Golf Course Assistant Superintendent to direct and participate in the maintenance of the golf course, including tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, cart paths and rough.

This role also ensures pest and disease control and supervises equipment maintenance. Ideal candidates hold an Associates degree in turf management, with at least five years of turf care experience and a valid RUP certification.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in turf management or equivalent.
• Five years of turf care experience preferred.
• Ability to read product labels and communicate with guests.
• RUP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and participate in turf maintenance across tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, and rough.
• Monitor irrigation systems and frequent irrigation checks.
• Oversee pest and disease scouting and apply pesticides/fertilizers as needed.
• Lead and schedule daily maintenance crew activities and supervise personnel decisions.
• Promote player satisfaction through quality maintenance and clear communications.
• Ensure compliance with company, county, state and federal regulations.
