Job summary

Pine Valley Golf Club is seeking an Assistant in Training to join a renowned 18-hole private course in New Jersey. You will work closely with the Director of Agronomy and the crew to direct and monitor maintenance and to gain hands-on experience toward becoming an Assistant Superintendent after a season.

The role includes learning, applying pesticides and fertilizers, recordkeeping, and supervising daily course maintenance with an emphasis on safety and detail.

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year degree/certificate in agronomy and/or soil science, or currently enrolled in an online program.
• Must be able to obtain a New Jersey Pesticide license in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and monitoring all maintenance of the golf course.
• Provide supervision and participate in daily maintenance activities.
• Handle, mix, and apply pesticides and fertilizers with accurate recordkeeping.
