Job summary

Juniper is seeking an Agronomy Technician to safely apply fertilizers, pesticides, and IPM practices across our landscape maintenance properties in Florida. The role involves diagnosing turf and ornamental issues, preparing products per label instructions, and maintaining records of products used.

The ideal candidate will hold a certified pesticide applicator credential, possess strong communication skills, and have knowledge of pesticides, fertilizers, and turf management.

Qualifications

• Certified pesticide applicator with state credentials.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of pesticide, fertilizer, and herbicide products and calibration.
• Knowledge of turf and ornamental issues.
• Horticulture experience preferred.
• Experience operating a Z sprayer.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, and treat turf and ornamental issues.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and insecticides per label and safety rules.
• Prepare and mix products according to label instructions.
• Operate tools, vehicles, and equipment safely.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment cleanliness.
• Keep accurate records of products used.
• Complete all work-order correspondence.
• Maintain customer rapport and meet expectations.
• Use hand and power tools for IPM duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
