Job summary

RJ Lawn & Landscape is seeking a Turf Crew Leader to guide a field crew through mowing, trimming, and blowing on residential and commercial properties. You will supervise on-site operations, manage timekeeping, and ensure properties are visually appealing with clean trimmings.

Role requires leadership, safety compliance, and the ability to train crew members while maintaining high-quality results across routes. This is a year-round position with strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Legally able to operate company vehicles with valid Iowa license.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and work on varied terrain.
• Able to operate riding mowers, trimmers and blowers safely.
• Willing to train and lead crew members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Turf crew on site and uphold mowing, trimming and safety standards.
• Review route schedules and site-specific instructions before departure.
• clock crew in/out using iCREWtek and verify equipment needs.
• Brief crew on roles and mowing patterns en route between sites.
• Ensure driveways and hardscapes are free of debris after work.
• Verify quality before leaving properties and communicate with managers.
• Record time and materials in iCREWtek and document site notes.
• Report accidents, damage, or tardiness promptly to the Turf Manager.
