Gabriel Group seeks a Turf and Ornamental Technician to maintain turf health and appearance on client properties. The role includes mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest/disease management under the supervision of the Production Manager.
Ideal candidates have turf or grounds maintenance experience and can safely operate equipment such as mowers, spreaders, sprayers, and aerators. Pesticide licensing is preferred.

The Turf Technician is responsible for the care, maintenance, and overall health of turf areas, ensuring they remain safe, attractive, and functional. This role involves performing a wide variety of tasks, including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest/disease management. The Turf Technician works closely with the grounds team to support high-quality turf conditions that meet industry and client standards.
Perform turf maintenance activities such as mowing, edging, aerating, fertilizing, topdressing, and overseeding.
Monitor turf health and diagnose issues related to weeds, pests, diseases, or irrigation.
Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides safely and in compliance with regulations.
Operate and maintain turf equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safe use.
Assist as needed with landscape maintenance duties—including mowing, trimming, weeding, equipment operation, plant care, and safety compliance—while maintaining professionalism and quality standards under supervision.
Maintain accurate records of applications, maintenance schedules, and equipment usage.
Communicate effectively with Production Managers , clients, and team members regarding turf conditions and recommendations for improvement .
Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines.
Experience in turf care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.
Ability to safely operate turf equipment (mowers, spreaders, sprayers, aerators, etc.).
Pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment safely, following all safety protocols.
